BVYCX\"><strong class=\"_1ATDh\">Prince William said he does miss his grandmother as he opened up to Eugene Levy as part of his AppleTV documentary series<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p class=\"A8Lwr BVYCX\">Three years after the death of the late Queen, her grandson Prince William has admitted that he still misses her.<\/p>\n<p class=\"A8Lwr BVYCX\">He was reflecting on how Windsor means so much to him because of Queen Elizabeth\u2019s connection to the castle and the town.<\/p>\n<p class=\"A8Lwr BVYCX\">The Prince of Wales was speaking to the actor Eugene Levy and acknowledged that there has been \u201cquite a lot of change\u201d in his life since the death of his grandmother and grandfather, Prince Philip.<\/p>\n<p class=\"A8Lwr BVYCX\">On his Apple TV series, The Reluctant Traveller, The Schitt\u2019s Creek and American Pie actor asks the Prince: \u201cDo you miss your grandmother?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"A8Lwr BVYCX\">William replies: \u201cI do actually, yeah, I do miss my grandmother, and my grandfather.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"A8Lwr BVYCX\">The prince and Levy were chatting in the King\u2019s Drawing Room inside Windsor Castle, which looks out over West London and Eton College, where William went to school in his teens.<\/p>\n<p class=\"A8Lwr BVYCX\">For him, William explains, Windsor represents his grandmother: \u201cYou think about them not being here anymore and particularly being in Windsor, for me Windsor is her.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"A8Lwr mes-O\"><figcaption class=\"Ya3u6 SilLI\" data-testid=\"captioned-picture-caption\">Eugene Levy interviews good job of being a tour guide.<\/p>\n<p class=\"A8Lwr BVYCX\">\u201cShe loved it here; she spent most of her time here. Showing you around today is very much a case of trying to make sure, I\u2019m doing it in the way she\u2019d want you to see it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"A8Lwr BVYCX\">Part of the reason why the late Queen spent so much time in Windsor was the surrounding estate in which she could ride her horses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"A8Lwr BVYCX\">William tells Levy: \u201cShe had her horses here as well, as you can imagine, it was a big deal for her, so that\u2019s why she loved it here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"A8Lwr BVYCX\">The Apple TV series follows Levy to different countries to experience things he wants to tick off his \u2018bucket list\u2019.<\/p>\n<p class=\"A8Lwr BVYCX\">His desire to do something about the Royal Family stems from his growing up in Canada, one of the Commonwealth Realms, where Queen Elizabeth, and now King Charles, remains the head of state.<\/p>\n<p class=\"A8Lwr BVYCX\">Although the actor knew he was going to do some filming in Windsor Castle, the producers kept it a secret that he was getting a personal tour from Prince William.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"cp_grid-legacy n1Jiz\" data-testid=\"inline-tile-list-container\">\n<article data-testid=\"tile-undefined\" class=\"_9ngZG cp_grid-legacy__item cp_width-legacy--one-half V42pZ\"\/>\n<article data-testid=\"tile-undefined\" class=\"_9ngZG cp_grid-legacy__item cp_width-legacy--one-half V42pZ\"\/><\/aside>\n<p class=\"A8Lwr BVYCX\">Levy only found out when a letter was hand-delivered to him in his suite in The Goring Hotel in London \u2013 the same hotel that a certain Kate Middleton stayed in on the night before her wedding day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"A8Lwr BVYCX\">\u201cWhy don\u2019t you pop down to the Castle,\u201d William writes in the note to his guest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"A8Lwr BVYCX\">When Levy gets to the quadrangle at Windsor Castle, William arrives on a scooter to start the interview.<\/p>\n<p class=\"A8Lwr BVYCX\">As he takes him around some of the rooms inside, the prince jokingly tells the actor, \u201cwe provide this service for everyone; we do personalised tours everywhere!\u201d<\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p class=\"A8Lwr BVYCX\"><strong class=\"_1ATDh\">Subscribe free to <\/strong><a target=\"_blank\" class=\"qNUzV q7LZa\" href=\"https:\/\/itvnews.substack.com\/\" data-testid=\"fecp-link-anchor\"><span class=\"n6NlI\"><strong class=\"_1ATDh\">our weekly newsletter<\/strong><\/span><\/a><strong class=\"_1ATDh\"> for exclusive and original coverage from ITV News.
