Ella Eyre is back with her newest single, \u201cHell Yeah\u201d, just a few months after July\u2019s release of \u201cSpace\u201d. While \u201cSpace\u201d explored emotional boundaries with a raw, soulful edge, \u201cHell Yeah\u201d bursts with playful, retro-soul energy, celebrating the wilder, more carefree side of Ella\u2019s personality.<\/p>\n
The release is accompanied by a new video directed by creative designer Priya Ahluwalia, shot in an amusement arcade setting that captures the energy of the song. It\u2019s the perfect match for a track that balances retro soul touches with a modern edge.<\/p>\n
\u201c\u2018Hell Yeah\u2019 has been a fan-favourite for a while and I’m SO happy it\u2019s finally time to share it,\u201d Ella says. \u201cIt\u2019s an upbeat, fun depiction of a wilder time in my early twenties when leading with my head and not my heart was a humorous battle. We\u2019ve all been there when we can\u2019t resist something, and this song is a punchy reminder to not let our occasional questionable choices weigh us down. The single is taken from her upcoming second album, everything, in time (out November 21 via Play It Again Sam), which follows her 2015 debut Feline and years of reinvention behind the scenes. After vocal surgery in lockdown, parting ways with her label, and reclaiming her masters, Ella rebuilt from scratch. The result is a 15-track collection rooted in soul, R&B, funk, and emotional honesty, reflecting the full breadth of her artistry.<\/p>\n
\u201cSpace\u201d showcased Ella\u2019s fierce, introspective side, with a frank exploration of emotional limits and personal boundaries. In contrast, \u201cHell Yeah\u201d is vibrant and celebratory, highlighting her playful, confident energy. Ella will bring this new era to life with four intimate candlelit shows in December, performing in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Liverpool, giving fans a chance to hear her music in stunning, atmospheric venues.<\/p>\n
Reflecting on her journey, Ella admits: \u201cThere’s been a lot of stop-start with my career. It keeps me up at night. But this album feels like something I’m really proud of. And the biggest cliches are sometimes the deepest truths: Good things come to those who wait.
