When life gives you \u201cLemonade,\u201d you make a new album \u2026 at least in Louis Tomlinson\u2019s case. On Tuesday, the musician released his single \u201cLemonade,\u201d and announced that he\u2019ll drop his third studio album, How Did I Get Here?<\/em>, on Jan. 23, 2026.<\/p>\n \u201cI sum up it as \u2018The record I always deserved to make,\u201d Tomlinson said in a statement. \u201cMy bread and butter is my honesty. I genuinely wear my heart on my sleeve, and I hope it comes through in the music.\u201d<\/p>\n More from Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/p>\n He added, \u201cI\u2019m still learning and getting better as a singer and a songwriter.\u00a0I find it impossible to be complacent; it\u2019s not in my vocabulary. For the first time now, I\u2019m allowing myself to be the artist I\u2019d always hoped to be.\u201d<\/p>\n Tomlinson worked on the project during a three-week trip to Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, alongside his primary collaborator, Nico Rebscher. \u201cTaking all of the steps I did to get here was important. I needed to the confidence to become the artist I wanted to be and make a hopefully big, but personal album. I think I did,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n To lead the album, Tomlinson released his single \u201cLemonade,\u201d dedicated to a lady who\u2019s \u201cso bitter\u201d and \u201cso sweet\u201d at the same time. \u201cThe most important thing was for the first single to sound ambitious sonically. It had to be big and fun,\u201d Tomlinson added. \u201cTo me, \u2018Lemonade\u2019\u00a0really has instant and natural personality. It ended up being the perfect way to begin this chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n Tomlinson is also set to host Away From Home Festival <\/a>in Cooperstown, New York.
