Multi-platinum singer-songwriter James Taylor<\/a><\/strong> is adding another milestone to his already storied career: his Grand Ole Opry<\/a><\/strong> debut. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will perform at the iconic Nashville venue on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, as part of the Opry\u2019s year-long 100th anniversary celebration.<\/p>\n The performance marks Taylor\u2019s first time on the famed Opry stage, a moment many fans might be surprised didn\u2019t happen decades ago. Opry executive producer Dan Rogers<\/strong> called the booking \u201camazing,\u201d noting that \u201cthe Opry has been built over the last 100 years in large part by songwriters and storytellers. In fact, Opry legend George Hamilton IV<\/strong> helped introduce him to Nashville audiences back in the late \u201960s and early \u201970s by recording \u201cCarolina in My Mind\u201d and \u201cSweet Baby James.\u201d<\/p>\n Over the years, Taylor has collaborated with country icons including Vince Gill<\/a>, Chris Stapleton, and Alison Krauss<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 winning a Grammy with Krauss for their duet “How\u2019s the World Treating You?”. He also famously performed \u201cWichita Lineman\u201d alongside Krauss and Lyle Lovett<\/strong> during a White House country music special in 2011.<\/p>\n For his Opry debut, Taylor won\u2019t be alone. He\u2019ll be joined by close friends and Opry members Gill and Emmylou Harris<\/a><\/strong>.
