That\u2019s taken a lot of different forms over the years, but one thing that\u2019s been consistent is the work with bands. Slayer<\/a>, Iron Maiden<\/a>, the Grateful Dead,<\/a> and Ozzy Osbourne have all had the honor of getting a signature line out outerwear and accessories.<\/p>\n Now, you can add the ska-punk band Sublime to that list. This time, the two parties have linked up with Capita for a limited edition board<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n The board will be the Outerspace Living, which features a true-twin freestyle shape and an all-terrain camber profile built for freeriding. It is available in just one size, 156 cm, and features a tie-dye orange top sheet with the Sublime sun. The base reads \u201cSublime\u201d in black and orange block letters, with a 686 logo as well.<\/p>\n Inspired by the Mercury series, the Outerspace Living has positive camber underfoot for powder retention, with an elevated nose and tail to help the board swim through variable conditions. For the rider looking to lap the terrain park after the powder has been tracked, this is the board for them.<\/p>\n Including the board, there are 16 pieces in the Sublimex686 collection. That includes snowboard socks, a balaclava, a beanie, mittens and gloves, goggles, a waterproof hoodie and fleece, and two different jacket and pant combinations.<\/p>\n \u201cSublime\u2019s music permeated the soundtracks of snowboard and freeski video parts for the greater part of a decade\u2014most notably, at a time when 686 was digging its roots in the snowboard scene in Southern California,\u201d an Instagram post from 686 says. \u201cThe 686 x Sublime collection honors that legacy, celebrating a time when freestyle boards and twin tips connected the two communities.\u201d<\/p>\n The band got its start in Long Beach, California in 1988. The group released three studio albums. The first two \u2014 40oz. to Freedom<\/a> and Robbin’ the Hood<\/a> \u2014 had some popularity, but the self titled album released in 1996 was the band\u2019s first mainstream success. Unfortunately, it was released two months after lead singer Bradley Nowell\u2019s death.<\/p>\n In 2009, the band\u2019s surviving members revived the band with Rome Ramierez, toured for a while, and released three albums under the moniker Sublime With Rome.<\/p>\n Then in 2023, Nowell\u2019s son Jakob joined the band to take over lead-singing duties.<\/p>\n \u201cMy mother always played me Sublime\u2019s music growing up.
