Mark Wahlberg dropped the name of a popular late \u201990s action movie when he was asked last week about roles he could have had, but ultimately didn\u2019t get.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But instead of regret, the actor sounded relieved.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cYou know I dodged a couple of bullets,\u201d Wahlberg revealed while speaking with Entertainment Weekly<\/a> on Thursday. \u201cI did a couple ones that weren\u2019t so good. We don\u2019t need to mention those.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

When pressed to name something, the star of \u201cBoogie Nights\u201d and \u201cTed\u201d responded, \u201cThat wouldn\u2019t be nice.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

And while Wahlberg didn\u2019t cite any films he regretted doing, he did say that he was \u201cin talks\u201d to play the superhero Robin in the 1997 film \u201cBatman & Robin.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cI did not get an official offer, but I was meeting with Joel Schumacher about \u2018Batman & Robin,\u2019 he said. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The role eventually went to Chris O\u2019Donnell, which was perfectly fine with Wahlberg because he \u201cwasn\u2019t interested in that type of project.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The topic was sparked after Leonardo DiCaprio shared that he\u2019s still kicking himself for turning down the lead<\/a> role in the 1997 film \u201cBoogie Nights,\u201d a role that ultimately went to Wahlberg. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
