Lola Young<\/a> announced Sept. 30 she is canceling her upcoming events, following an on-stage fainting spell at the New York’s All Things Go<\/a>.<\/p>\n On Sept. 27, Young experienced a medical emergency while performing at the festival at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York.<\/p>\n “I’m going away for a while,” the 24-year-old British singer posted on Instagram. “It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future,” she said.<\/p>\n “Thank you for all the love and support.”<\/p>\n Lola Young performs during the 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 18, 2025, in Indio, California.<\/p>\n “I’m so sorry to let anyone down who has bought a ticket to see me, it hurts me more than you know,” she continued.<\/p>\n “Obviously you will be entitled to a full refund. Moments later, the “Messy” singer stumbled and fainted backwards.<\/p>\n The crew rushed to help her, carrying her offstage.<\/p>\n “Cinderella” singer Remi Wolf took the stage next.<\/p>\n “That was really f***ing scary,” she told the crowd. “My friend Lola is backstage, and she is okay.”<\/p>\n A few minutes before fainting, Young told the crowd she’s had a tough couple of days and has been pushing through to perform.<\/p>\n “Sometimes life can really make you feel like you can’t continue, but you know what, today I woke up and I made the decision to come here,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd I wanted to be cool… and sometimes life can throw you lemons, and you just gotta make lemonade.”<\/p>\n Lola Young performs during the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 7, 2025, in Elmont, New York.<\/p>\n Young’s All Things Go performance followed a canceled show the day before.<\/p>\n Her manager, Nick Shymansky, who also managed Amy Winehouse, wrote on social media that Young would not be performing at Audacy\u2019s We Can Survive concert Sept. 26 due to a \u201csensitive matter.\u201d<\/p>\n “There are very occasionally days where myself and my team have to take protective measures to keep her safe,” Shymansky wrote.<\/p>\n “She is an incredible person and always takes her fans, career and performances seriously. I can only send huge apologies for the inconvenience caused.”<\/p>\n A few hours after the medical emergency at All Things Go, Young posted on social media.<\/p>\n \u201cHi, for anyone who saw my set at All Things Go today, I am doing OK now,” she said. “Thank you for all of your support.” The next day, Young pulled out of performing at All Things Go in D.C.<\/p>\n \u201cI love this job and I never take my commitments and audience for granted so I\u2019m sorry to those who will be disappointed by this,” she said on Instagram.<\/p>\n \u201cI hope you\u2019ll all give me another chance\u00a0in the future. To all the people that love to be mean online, pls give me a day off.\u201d<\/p>\n Lola Young performs in the Mojave tent during the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, Calif., on Fri., April 11, 2025.<\/p>\n Young, who skyrocketed to fame in 2024, has previously opened up about being diagnosed with\u00a0schizoaffective disorder<\/a>.<\/p>\n The mental health condition,\u00a0according to the Mayo Clinic<\/a>, is “marked by a mix of schizophrenia symptoms, such as hallucinations and delusions, and mood disorder symptoms, such as depression, mania and a milder form of mania called hypomania.”<\/p>\n In a Sept. 12 interview with\u00a0The Guardian<\/a>, Young also said she had been battling with cocaine addiction for “a long time.”<\/p>\n “It\u2019s been a struggle \u2014 I\u2019ve definitely had to work on some internal healing while grappling with touring and stuff,” she said.<\/p>\n “It teaches you a lot, being addicted to substances. It makes you more empathetic about other people that have gone through that. It\u2019s just a constant journey.”<\/p>\n Young said she is grateful for the support and resources available to her.<\/p>\n \u201cA lot of people don\u2019t have the privilege of being able to do that,” she said.<\/p>\n “A lot of people suffer from addiction, and a lot of people are in that personal journey (to recovery).
