It is hard not to love Dolly Parton, and that is why it is so very hard not to hurt for her, too, when she talks about her late husband, Carl Dean.<\/p>\n

The two were together for more than 60 years, and it is very clear that Parton is still hurting \u2014 and always will be \u2014 when she talks about him. And the 79-year-old country music legend revealed earlier this year just what that pain might mean for the future of her country music career. <\/p>\n

I will later, but I\u2019m just coming up with such wonderful, beautiful ideas. But I think I won\u2019t finish it.<\/p>\n \u201cI can\u2019t do it right now because I\u2019ve got so many other things that I can\u2019t afford the luxury of getting that emotional right now,\u201d she added. \u201cSo there are times like that, things like that that will start here a little bit, but I\u2019ll write something else, though, if it comes. <\/p>\n \u201cSo I\u2019m just putting that all on hold.\u201d<\/p>\n It is both understandable and heartbreaking to see the legend, known for her heart of gold, still hurting to much.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is a love note to family, friends, and fans,\u201d Parton wrote on X days after Dean\u2019s death. \u201cThank you for all the messages, cards, and flowers that you\u2019ve sent to pay your respects for the loss of my beloved husband Carl. I can\u2019t reach out personally to each of you but just know it has meant the world to me.
