British pop star Lola Young<\/a> has announced she is taking a break from music after recently experiencing an onstage medical emergency.<\/p>\n The \u201cMessy\u201d singer took to Instagram<\/a> on Tuesday to share that she is pausing her music career to prioritize her health.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m going away for a while. It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future,\u201d the post read. \u201cI really hope you\u2019ll give me second chance once I\u2019ve had some time to work on myself and come back stronger.\u201d<\/p>\n Young, 24, collapsed during a performance Saturday night at the All Things Go Music Festival<\/a> in New York.<\/p>\n Young mouthed a few words to her team backstage, seemingly signaling that she was feeling unwell, before fainting<\/a> in the middle of performing \u201cConceited\u201d on Saturday.<\/p>\n Young then cancelled a Washington, D.C. performance slated for the next day. Health concerns also led to the cancelling of a benefit concert on Friday in New Jersey.<\/p>\n The London native told fans that she was \u201cdoing OK now\u201d in an Instagram story post after Saturday\u2019s incident.<\/p>\n Young had more than 40 performance scheduled from October through June in several different countries, according to her website<\/a>.
