ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) \u2014 Actor and comedian Martin Lawrence will be bringing his \u201cY\u2019all Still Know What It Is!\u201d standup tour to Rockford early next year.<\/p>\n

Hard Rock Live, inside the Hard Rock Casino Rockford, announced Tuesday that Lawrence will bring his one-hour set to the stage on January 23rd, accompanied by a roster of other comedians.<\/p>\n

\u201cComedy gives me that instant gratification,\u201d Lawrence said, according to press notes. \u201cSeeing the fans up close and in person, making people laugh, doing what I love most, this is what it\u2019s all about for me. But hey\u2026y\u2019all know what it is!\u201d<\/p>\n

Lawrence launched his comedy career at the Improv Comedy Club in New York City, and has featured roles in films such as Do The Right Thing, House Party, Boomerang, Big Momma\u2019s House, Life, and the Bad Boys movie franchise, alongside Will Smith.<\/p>\n

He also starred in his own comedy TV show on FOX, Martin, in 1992.<\/p>\n

Tickets<\/a><\/strong> for Martin\u2019s show go on sale Friday, October 3rd at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n
