{"id":2063176,"date":"2025-10-01T23:25:53","date_gmt":"2025-10-01T23:25:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2063176"},"modified":"2025-10-01T23:25:53","modified_gmt":"2025-10-01T23:25:53","slug":"katherine-balch-to-headline-residency-at-mizzou-new-music-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/katherine-balch-to-headline-residency-at-mizzou-new-music-initiative\/","title":{"rendered":"Katherine Balch to Headline Residency at Mizzou New Music Initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"page-social-share\">\n<\/aside>\n<aside class=\"post-skyscraper-ad\">\n                          <\/aside>\n<div class=\"nice-type allow-responsive-videos\">\n<p>Composer Katherine Balch has been invited to participate in a residency at The Mizzou New Music Initiative from Oct. 3\u20135, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, Balch, whose music has been commissioned and performed by leading ensembles worldwide, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, London Sinfonietta, and Ensemble Modern, will give composition lessons, deliver a lecture, and attend a public performance of her acclaimed work, \u201cSpeckled the green and blue,\u201d performed by the Mizzou New Music Ensemble.<\/p>\n<p>The residency culminates with a concert on October 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sinquefield Music Center on the University of Missouri campus.
