Vickie Guerrero<\/a> reveals the surprising origin behind her \u201cEXCUSE ME!\u201d catchphrase.<\/p>\n Former SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero was a recent guest on WWE Retrospective<\/a> for their Vault YouTube Channel. Guerrero recalled her debut as a character on WWE<\/a> programming and admitted that she was horrible. Luckily, multiple Hall of Famers helped put her on the right path.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter Eddie\u2019s passing, I came to WWE for two months,\u201d Guerrero recalled. \u201cIt was just to be for two months, just to get Eddie\u2019s name to be remembered by the fans,\u201d she stated. \u201cBut then it just built. And they\u2019re like, \u2018Well, let\u2019s try a year contract.\u2019 I was like, \u2018Sure.\u2019 And then a year turned into five, and then it\u2019s here I am again. It\u2019s been 20 years.<\/p>\n \u201cMy character at the beginning sucked. I was horrible. From Teddy Long to Dusty Rhodes to Undertaker, they would tell me, \u2018You\u2019re horrible, you suck. Your camera work is bad.\u2019 And through those people, they coached me, and they helped me night after night.\u201d<\/p>\n One part of her character that ended up catching fire was her \u201cEXCUSE ME!\u201d catchphrase.
