I mean, as soon as the announcement came out, we saw people buying tickets immediately and filling up showtimes,\u201d said Tim Holly, director of creative and alt programming at Emagine Entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>Emagine has locations throughout the Twin Cities hosting the party. It\u2019s one of many big moments in movies throughout the last few years \u2014 like The Eras Tour film and the \u201cBarbenheimer\u201d phenomenon, both of which brought droves of people into theaters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can\u2019t really compare Taylor Swift\u2019s fandom to anything else\u2013 I mean, it\u2019s really a singular thing, right?\u201d Holly said.<\/p>\n<p>One of the big upcoming films is \u201cWicked: For Good,\u201d which Holly said will make for another group of big crowds. But in the meantime, \u201cThe Official Release Party of a Showgirl\u201d will bring a big crowd.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThose big boosts are super helpful, just because some of these other smaller films maybe aren\u2019t delivering what they were prior to the pandemic,\u201d Holly said.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_187728\" style=\"width: 1034px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ccxmedia.org\/news\/swiftonomics-music-stars-new-album-release-helps-boost-plymouth-movie-theater\/attachment\/taylor-swift-movies-pkg-ns-20251001\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-187728 follow noopener noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" target=\"_self\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-187728\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">People can buy tickets for the official release party online or at theater kiosks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Adding More Showings<\/h3>\n<p>As some showtimes for the event already sold out, Emagine is adding more showings throughout the three-day period so more fans can come through.<\/p>\n<p>Swift\u2019s show \u2014 and other big theatrics \u2014 aren\u2019t Emagine\u2019s only tricks to boost its theaters. Holly said the theater is showing popular old films and concert films with interactive wristbands.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Another strategy that Holly boosted is the theater\u2019s incorporation of local food and drink. One such example is food options from Minneapolis-based The Herbivorous Butcher.
