Artemas<\/a> had a viral smash last year with \u201cI Like The Way You Kiss Me<\/a>,\u201d which peaked just outside the top 10 on the Billboard<\/em> Hot 100 chart and has over 1.3 billion streams on Spotify alone. Since then, he has released a number of singles and the Yustyna<\/em>, and the train keeps on rolling: Today (October 1), Artemas<\/a> announced Lovercore<\/em>, a new mixtape.<\/p>\n

Arriving alongside the news is three new songs: \u201cSuperstar,\u201d \u201cTake It Easy On Me,\u201d and \u201cThis One\u2019s Gonna Hurt Me.\u201d The first song got a video, too, and the tune is a techno-inspired anthem.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview<\/a>, Artemas spoke about making his first album, saying, \u201cIt\u2019s daunting to create something that cohesive, but it excites me, too. I want to put my flag in the sand. I think I\u2019m making some of the most exciting alt-pop music out there. And I do it all myself. I just haven\u2019t communicated that clearly enough yet.\u201d He also said of the success of \u201cI Like The Way You Kiss Me,\u201d \u201cIt would be the death of me to chase that again. Those songs are so random. You just have to stay honest.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of the modern music industry path, he added, \u201cI just turned my nose up at it all. I made music in my room, mixed it myself, didn\u2019t care about playlists. It was about finding my fans.\u201d<\/p>\n
