{"id":2064547,"date":"2025-10-02T15:05:28","date_gmt":"2025-10-02T15:05:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2064547"},"modified":"2025-10-02T15:05:28","modified_gmt":"2025-10-02T15:05:28","slug":"lorain-with-littles-plans-fall-events-moves-toward-nonprofit-status","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/lorain-with-littles-plans-fall-events-moves-toward-nonprofit-status\/","title":{"rendered":"Lorain With Littles plans fall events, moves toward nonprofit status"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lorainwithlittles.org\/\">Lorain With Littles<\/a> is preparing for a busy October with two family events, including its largest fundraiser of the year.<\/p>\n<p>The group will host the Blippi Bootacular on Oct. 26, at Puskas Pavilion, 2493 North Ridge Road in Lorain.<\/p>\n<p>The Halloween-themed event will feature a live Blippi impersonator, music, crafts and a children\u2019s costume contest.<\/p>\n<p>Attendance is capped at 100 participating children, with additional tickets available for parents, siblings and grandparents.<\/p>\n<p>Sarah Puskas, founder of Lorain With Littles, said the Blippi event has become the group\u2019s biggest draw since it started.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur first one sold out, the parking lot was full and we had people calling asking if we had extra tickets,\u201d Puskas said. \u201cThe kids love it, and it\u2019s been a huge hit every year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The group also will host a Pumpkin Patch Play Date on Oct. 11.<\/p>\n<p>The event is open to the public and continues the group\u2019s mission of introducing families to affordable activities around Lorain County, Puskas said.<\/p>\n<p>Funds raised at the Blippi Bootacular will help Lorain With Littles finalize its nonprofit certification, she said.<\/p>\n<p>The group is close to becoming a 501(c)(3), which will allow it to apply for grants and secure sponsors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve been trying to step it up a bit more and get more official and have some funding in the bank,\u201d Puskas said. \u201cIn the past, it\u2019s very much been funded out of my pocket or from moms involved donating things.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"gN4NnmY0wf\">\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.morningjournal.com\/2023\/05\/25\/lorain-with-littles-has-grown-into-vibrant-resource-for-parents-caregivers\/\">Lorain with Littles has grown into vibrant resource for parents, caregivers<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\u201cLorain with Littles has grown into vibrant resource for parents, caregivers\u201d \u2014 Morning Journal\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" src=\"https:\/\/www.morningjournal.com\/2023\/05\/25\/lorain-with-littles-has-grown-into-vibrant-resource-for-parents-caregivers\/embed\/#?secret=gN4NnmY0wf\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" data-secret=\"gN4NnmY0wf\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Lorain With Littles began in January 2023 as a social media page highlighting free and low-cost activities for families.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, it has grown into a network that organizes its own play dates and community gatherings, Puskas said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLittles are only little for a couple years,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s so fleeting and quick, and I want families to really make the most of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Puskas also said her motivation came from her experience as a first-time mother during the COVID-19 pandemic, when she struggled with postpartum depression and sought out community programming.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPartnering is so much easier when you\u2019re not alone,\u201d she said. \u201cIt changed my parenting journey.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I realized there were so many free and affordable opportunities families weren\u2019t taking advantage of, and I wanted to share that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><em> \u2018 The preceding article may include information circulated by third parties \u2019 <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> \u2018 Some details of this article were extracted from the following source www.morningjournal.com \u2019 <\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lorain With Littles is preparing for a busy October with two family events, including its largest fundraiser of the year.
