Don\u2019t waste your Friday and Saturday lining up early to get a good spot to see Chappell Roan. You won\u2019t be allowed to camp, according to guidelines shared by the artist\u2019s team<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Missouri-born pop superstar brings the limited Visions of Damsels Other Dangerous Things Tour to Museum and Memorial Park<\/a>, right in the middle of Kansas City, on Friday, Oct. 3 and Saturday, Oct. 4. The unique venue is on the grounds of the National World War I Museum and Memorial, which on normal circumstances, are open to the public (although you do have to pay to get inside the museum).<\/p>\n

The public space is rented out by Roan\u2019s team and since the venue is typically open-air with no borders, the artist website says guests will not be allowed to camp in line in the morning for either day of the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo camping or early arrival will be permitted \u2014 we want to be good neighbors and follow city policies,\u201d the website said. \u201cFans can start lining up at 2 p.m. via the Ticket Checkpoints and doors will open promptly at 4 p.m. The show is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ticket checkpoints are on Wyandotte Street, Kessler Road and Memorial Drive surrounding the concert grounds. These will be used to filter out anyone who doesn\u2019t have a ticket, and Kansas City Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Phil DiMartino said entry to the concert area will require a ticket.<\/p>\n

Pop star Chappell Roan is playing two shows in Kansas City for her Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things Tour on Friday, Oct. 3, and Saturday, Oct. 4, at Museum and Memorial Park, which is also the site of the National WWI Museum and Memorial. The singer added a venue map to her website to show fans where the performance will be.<\/p>\n

No numbered wristbands will be handed out ahead of time to fans who line up in Kansas City, Roan\u2019s website says. Wristbands were given for her four shows in New York<\/a>, and no explanation was given for the change.<\/p>\n

Fans who also went to pop superstar Billie Eilish\u2019s concert in November<\/a> will remember having wristbands as markers for their place in line, so they wouldn\u2019t have to stand in the colder weather all day long until T-Mobile Center doors opened.<\/p>\n

Will I be able to listen to Chappell Roan from outside the concert area?<\/h2>\n

If you\u2019re thinking of \u201cTaylor-Gating<\/a>\u201d outside Museum and Memorial Park in hopes of listening or seeing Roan without a ticket, don\u2019t bet on it. DiMartino said that while the sidewalks and nearby public spaces will remain open until they\u2019re posted as closed, they are not allowing crowds to gather outside the area.<\/p>\n

Fans should expect fencing, barricades and controlled zones, and the sidewalks and streets must remain clear for travel, DiMartino said.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome sound will carry outside the venue, but there will be no external viewing areas or speakers,\u201d DiMartino said. \u201cPlease follow posted signs and staff directions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Streets directly surrounding the museum property will also be closed beginning on the morning of each show. This includes Kessler Road, Main Street and Memorial Drive. DiMartino says the streets will be \u201cclosed intermittently to ensure safe pedestrian traffic at the end of the event.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
