TLC didn\u2019t just \u201cCreep\u201d into a show where they heard the singer performing one of their songs, they surprised the entire room and artist.<\/p>\n
After performing at Evolution Festival in Forest Park on Sunday, Sept. 28, Rozanda \u201cChilli\u201d Thomas and Tionne \u201cT-Boz\u201d Watkins surprised St. Louis-based singer, Tish Period, when they heard her performing \u201cWaterfalls\u201d at a local venue.<\/p>\n
A viral video on Period\u2019s Instagram<\/a> showed Thomas and Watkins running from their van and into the venue, surprising Period, her band and the audience.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019d just performed, and we were in the van coming here and were like, \u2018Wait a minute, we hear our song,\u2019\u201d Thomas said in the video. \u201cSo, we just pulled over and felt like crashing with you guys.\u201d<\/p>\n Period is then seen covering her face and crying as she is overcome with emotions by TLC\u2019s presence. In another clip<\/a>, Period thanked the group for \u201cbringing some of the best music we\u2019re still singing right now.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThis means the world to me,\u201d she continued. \u201cThank you so much for giving us that good music…we will never forget it.\u201d<\/p>\n Period then delivered her rendition of \u201cWaterfalls,\u201d which appeared to have impressed the Grammy-winning singers.<\/p>\n TLC \u2014 made up of Thomas, Watkins and late member Lisa \u201cLeft Eye\u201d Lopes \u2014 is one of the best-selling American girl groups of all time. Debuting in 1992, TLC notched nine top 10 hits in the \u201890s including \u201cCreep,\u201d \u201dWaterfalls,” \u201cNo Scrubs\u201d and \u201dUnpretty.” The group has also earned four multi-platinum albums, including the 12-times platinum \u201cCrazySexyCool.\u201d Lopes was killed in a 2002 car crash at 30.<\/p>\n Thomas and Watkins have continued to perform as a duo.
