It\u2019s one of the many really awful things you never want to happen when you\u2019re a band on tour.<\/p>\n
The New Zealand-based band The Beths said in a post earlier this week on social media that several of the instruments and other gear were stolen while they were touring in France.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur guitars, bass guitar, cymbals, snare, and my pedal board were stolen last night from our van in Tourcoing in France, near Lille. Along with the entire rented backline,\u201d the post said. <\/a><\/p>\n Among the stolen instruments was a rare Burns Club Series Double Six 12-string electric and a custom handmade guitar by Trent Guitars. <\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re pretty sad, these instruments have a lot of time and love in them. More than we can express really,\u201d the band said.<\/p>\n The band also asked fans to keep an eye out for the gear and contact them via info@lookoutkid.com if they have any tips. <\/p>\n Today, in an new update posted on Facebook<\/a>, the band thanked fans for their love and support and said they were able to get some instruments on loan to finish out the tour. <\/p>\n \u201cThe main news is we\u2019re ok. We have some insurance, so we\u2019re wading through all of that (super fun). Sad sometimes but the cheer is returning and we\u2019re taking care of each other,\u201d the post said. <\/p>\n The band also said it was looking for a Les Paul guitar to use for the rest of its European shows if anyone coming to any of its upcoming had one they were willing to loan. <\/p>\n The band is touring in support of its latest album, \u201cStraight Line Was a Lie.\u201d <\/p>\n If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
