Fans are convinced one song from Taylor Swift<\/strong>\u2019s upcoming The Life of a Showgirl<\/em> album may be a subtle diss track to Charli XCX<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Alleged leaked lyrics<\/a> to the song titled \u201cActually Romantic\u201d began circulating online ahead of the album\u2019s release, and Swifties took to social media to speculate on the track\u2019s meaning.<\/p>\n While it\u2019s unclear if the leaked lyrics are actually those written by Swift, 35, and Max Martin<\/strong>, the words could point to a feud with the \u201cVon Dutch\u201d artist.<\/p>\n \u201cI heard you call me \u2018Boring Barbie\u2019 when the coke\u2019s got you brave,\u201d the alleged track begins. \u201cHigh-fived my ex and then said you\u2019re glad he ghosted me.\u201d<\/p>\n Social media users were quick to connect the dots to Charli, 33, who has referenced cocaine use in her music, including her hit \u201c365.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cShould we do a little key? Should we have a little line?\u201d Charli sings in the track.<\/p>\n Charli is also married to George Daniel<\/strong>, the drummer for The 1975 \u2013 the band in which Taylor\u2019s ex Matty Healy<\/strong> is the frontman \u2013 which further fuels the speculation. Swift referenced being \u201cghosted\u201d seemingly by Healy in her 2024 hit \u201cThe Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cStay Away\u201d artist shut down rumors of a feud with Swift in 2024 following the release of her song \u201cSympathy Is a Knife.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m seeing online that some people think there are diss tracks on \u2018Brat\u2019 and I just wanted to come on here and clarify that there aren\u2019t \u2014 apart from maybe \u2018Von Dutch,\u2019 which kind of is \u2014 but the other tracks in question aren\u2019t diss tracks,\u201d she said via TikTok<\/a> that May. \u201cThey\u2019re really just about how it\u2019s so complicated being an artist, especially a female artist, where you are pitted against your peers but also expected to be best friends with every single person, constantly.\u201d<\/p>\n Later that year, the \u201cSo High School\u201d artist said she was \u201cblown away\u201d by Charli, who opened for Swift during 2018\u2019s Reputation Stadium Tour.<\/p>\n \u201cHer writing is surreal and inventive, always,\u201d she said in an interview with Vulture<\/em><\/a> in August 2024. \u201cShe just takes a song to places you wouldn\u2019t expect it to go, and she\u2019s been doing it consistently for over a decade.
