Directioners, it\u2019s your time. Rolling Stone<\/em> can confirm that Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson linked up to film a documentary series for Netflix, slated to drop next year.<\/p>\n The three-part series will be directed by Nicola Marsh, who is behind Song Exploder<\/em> and Leo Baker\u2019s Stay on Board<\/em>. The yet-to-be-named project will follow the former One Direction members going on a \u201cspontaneous adventure\u201d across the United States, sharing a \u201crare look\u201d at both of their private lives and a rekindling of their friendship.<\/p>\n More from Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/p>\n According to a press release, the show will see the pair \u201copening up about life, love, loss, and fatherhood.\u201d The news of the collaboration comes nearly a year after One Direction member Liam Payne died tragically in Argentina<\/a> after falling from a hotel balcony.<\/p>\n The series will be produced by Campfire Studios, which was behind Unknown Number: The High School Catfish<\/em>, Smartless: On the Road<\/em>, and America\u2019s Sweethearts: The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders<\/em>.<\/p>\n When recently asked by iHeartRadio<\/a> about a reunion with Malik for a special project, Tomlinson said coyly: \u201cI thought that was pretty interesting, pretty astute\u2026 I just suppose they\u2019d have to wait and see.\u201d The comments came several weeks after Malik and Tomlinson were spotted filming together at a Nashville bar.<\/p>\n Earlier this week, Tomlinson announced his Jan. 23 album\u00a0How Did I Get Here?<\/em><\/a> and released his single \u201cLemonade.\u201d Of the upcoming LP, he said: \u201cI sum up it as \u2018The record I always deserved to make.\u2019 My bread and butter is my honesty.\u201d Tomlinson is also scheduled to go on tour next summer<\/a>.<\/p>\n For Malik\u2019s part, the star will host a residency at Las Vegas\u2019 Dolby Live at Park MGM in January 2026.
