Fresh from winning their first International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Bluegrass Music Award \u2014 for Music Video of the Year, their rousing take on \u201cThe Auctioneer\u201d<\/a> \u2014 The Kody Norris Show<\/a> is back with another amusing and entertaining video for the latest cut from their Highfalutin Hillbilly <\/em>album. And this time, they\u2019ve brought along for the ride a very special guest.<\/p>\n \u201cSilver Eagle\u201d spins a tale about a romantic triangle, with lead singer Kody Norris and his fiddler wife Mary Rachel Nally-Norris cast as a couple torn apart by a homewrecker played by \u2014 well, would you believe country music great T. Graham Brown<\/a>?<\/p>\n \u201cYeah, how about that?\u201d Kody marveled during a telephone interview. \u201cGraham\u2019s been such a great friend to The Cody Norris Show. And especially anytime we\u2019re at the Opry<\/a>, he\u2019s always just got a welcome smile and a good warm howdy and handshake.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen we were doing this video, there\u2019s one line in the song \u2018Silver Eagle\u2019 where it talks about a \u2018super singer.\u2019 And in my world, if there’s ever been a super singer, it’s T. Graham Brown. He\u2019s as good as anyone ever to step behind a microphone in my opinion. And just a wonderful human to go along with it. When he was willing to collaborate with this \u2014 man, we were just over the moon about it. And let me tell you \u2014 he sure wears a rhinestone suit pretty well.\u201d<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI sure did have fun filming this video,\u201d Brown added. \u201cThey are really a fun bunch to be around. Also, it was the first time I ever got to drive a Rolls Royce. I hope everyone enjoys what we all did together.\u201d<\/p>\n And how did Mary Rachel feel about being the woman at the center of a romantic triangle?<\/p>\n \u201cWell, Kody did tell me, \u2018I guess if you had to run off with somebody, I would want it to be T. Graham Brown.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n But seriously, folks: \u201cIt was actually really a fun day on the shoot. It was a hot, hot day, but Graham made it interesting, and kept everybody kind of cool. We call him the King of Cool. So every time you touch him, he cools you off.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re glad that he’s a part of this. And it just shows that bluegrass and country can mesh at the end of everything. Sure enough.\u201d<\/p>\n
