When Jimmy Kimmel met Stephen Colbert\u2019s staff, they allegedly had one request \u2014 and they weren\u2019t shy about it.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Fresh off a six-day suspension, Kimmel visited Colbert\u2019s show<\/a> to discuss a range of topics, including his now-infamous time off air. On Tuesday, he reflected on that break before shifting to the recent cancellation of \u201cThe Late Show.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Colbert remarked that his team was \u201cthe greatest group of people\u201d he has ever worked with.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cCan I tell you something about your staff?\u201d Kimmel asked Colbert. \u201cYou have a great staff, and your writers and your show is absolutely fantastic. And I mean that. I\u2019m not just saying that because we\u2019re on TV, and I hope you know that. And I think you\u2019re a great person.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Following that praise, Kimmel lightheartedly noted: <\/span>\u201cBut I will say, the first 10 members of your staff came right up to me and said, \u2018I will leave today if you hire me.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Colbert quickly responded, \u201cAs well they should.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The banter continued as Colbert told Kimmel that he\u2019s \u201cavailable in June\u201d and promised he\u2019d play second-fiddle to security-guard-turned-corresponent Guillermo Rodriguez<\/a>, who is a regular fixture on Kimmel\u2019s show.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
