Prince William<\/a> is opening up about a dark time in his past.<\/p>\n In the trailer for the upcoming episode of Apple TV+\u2019s \u201cThe Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy,\u201d<\/a> the Prince of Wales got candid about the cancer diagnoses that rocked his family.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve been very lucky. We hadn\u2019t had many illnesses in the family for a very long time. So we\u2019ve been very lucky as a family,\u201d he continued. \u201cBut I think, when you suddenly realize that the rug, if you were, the metaphorical rug, can be pulled from under your feet quite quick at any point.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou maybe think to yourself, \u2018It won\u2019t happen to us, we\u2019ll be OK.\u2019 Because I think everyone has a positive outlook<\/a>, you\u2019ve got to be positive,\u201d he added. \u201cBut when it does happen to you, then it takes you into some pretty not great places.\u201d<\/p>\n In February 2024, Buckingham Palace announced that William\u2019s father, King Charles III<\/a>, had been diagnosed with a form of cancer and was undergoing treatment. A\u00a0\u201cseparate issue of concern\u201d\u00a0was identified during the\u00a0monarch\u2019s\u00a0\u201cbenign prostate enlargement\u201d\u00a0procedure at the London Clinic.
