A beloved Sex and the City<\/strong> star recently spoke about the future of the franchise after the sequel series ended. The actor answered questions about whether Carrie Bradshaw<\/strong>\u2019s story has truly ended. Best known for portraying the iconic columnist, she suggested the character could still return.<\/p>\n Sarah Jessica Parker said on CBS Mornings<\/a> that she is \u201cnot certain\u201d the character\u2019s story has ended, adding, \u201cI could just be on hiatus.\u201d Parker explained that showrunner Michael Patrick King decided to conclude the series, which ran for three seasons beginning in 2021.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it\u2019s out of respect for this really singular professional experience that you have to consider what you want to do, have you done it,\u201d Parker said. \u201cAnd sometimes it\u2019s best to gracefully walk away when things feel really right and energetic, versus squeezing and exploiting people\u2019s generosity and hospitality.\u201d<\/p>\n She also reflected on the finale, stating, \u201cI\u2019m not certain I understand that decision means, because I could just be on hiatus.\u201d King informed the cast in July before publicly announcing the decision to end the revival.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd just like that\u2026 the ongoing storytelling of the Sex and the City universe is coming to an end,\u201d he said. \u201cWhile I was writing the last episode of And Just Like That\u2026 Season 3, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop\u201d (via Deadline<\/a>).<\/p>\n Parker has played Carrie since the 1998\u20132004 HBO series and two films. She thanked viewers, offering \u201cthe most sentimental and profound gratitude and lifetime of debt\u201d as she bid farewell.<\/p>\n Parker also highlighted her SJP Lit imprint.
