And this started welllll before “Actually Romantic” dropped thanks to a) Charli having a song called “Everything Is Romantic,” b) fans thinking that Charli’s song “Sympathy Is a Knife” is about Taylor, and c) Charli’s friend Gabriette Bechtel (aka Taylor’s ex Matty Healy’s fianc\u00e9) posting this:<\/p>\nMeanwhile, the lyrics definitely appear<\/em> to be about Taylor’s beef with…someone. I mean, there’s this: “I heard you call me ‘Boring Barbie’ when the coke’s got you brave,” and this “you said you’re glad he ghosted me,” and THIS “Wrote me a song saying it makes you sick to see my face.”<\/p>\nTaylor then says that this unnamed person’s obsession with her is “actually romantic” and that she views said obsession as flattering. People who know the lyrics to “Sympathy Is a Knife” might also connect Charli’s lyrics, “George says, ‘I’m just paranoid'” to Tay’s lyrics “How many times has your boyfriend ‘Why are we always talking about her?”<\/p>\n
