However, Leonberg confirmed that the pup survives in the end. He compared Indy to Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible movies, without sharing any spoilers from Good Boy.<\/p>\n He said, \u201cIt\u2019s probably not so different from what I think people know when they go and see a Mission: Impossible movie. Tom Cruise isn\u2019t gonna die, but the filmmaking still has to let you think he might fall off that airplane and die potentially for real when you\u2019re watching Mission: Impossible. So, it\u2019s a different way to solve a kind of similar problem.\u201d<\/p>\n Leonberg added, \u201cUsually, that dog in horror movies doesn\u2019t make it out of Act 1. This is obviously in a film entirely about Indy, so we\u2019re expanding that story quite a bit.\u201d<\/p>\n Furthermore, Leonberg disclosed his feelings regarding the viewers\u2019 reaction to the trailer and their curiosity regarding the dog. He stated that everyone was \u201csurprised\u201d with the reaction. \u201cIt\u2019s all been delightful. We certainly think our dog is really compelling.
