Luke Combs <\/a>just dropped a new three-song EP, The Prequel<\/em>,<\/a> giving fans a sneak peek at his next album, due out early next year.<\/p>\n Produced by Combs and\u00a0Chip Matthews,<\/strong>\u00a0The Prequel<\/em>\u00a0features \u201cMy Kinda Saturday Night,\u201d \u201c15 Minutes,\u201d and \u201cDays Like These.\u201d\u00a0Each of the songs tap into a different corner of the North Carolina native\u2019s artistry.<\/p>\n \u201cMy Kinda Saturday Night\u201d stands out as the rowdy party-starter while the other two tracks tap into more emotional narratives. \u201c15 Minutes\u201d tells a powerful story of one\u2019s longing for redemption as he sings from the perspective of someone stuck within the confides of a prison. Meanwhile, \u201cDays Like These\u201d finds Combs offering an ode to the simple joys in life with a reflective and optimistic reminder to cherish every moment because time moves by too fast.<\/p>\n With this being the country star\u2019s first new project since 2024\u2019s Fathers & Sons<\/em> collection, he admitted he was feeling \u201cnervous\u201d to get feedback from his listeners. Luckily, it\u2019s clear that fans have his back as his comment sections are overflowing with love for the new music.<\/p>\n \u201cGosh, it\u2019s crazy. I just feel like it\u2019s the first time I put music out in quite some time and I am nervous about it. I\u2019m nervous to see what you guys will think about it,\u201d he said in a new Instagram post addressed directly to fans.<\/p>\n In the candid post, Combs went on to explain that while he\u2019s feeling nervous, he\u2019s also confident in the songs he\u2019s recorded. He acknowledged that it\u2019s not lost on him that fans have been eager for new music, but balancing life as a dad of two with a third on the way and touring the world has kept him busy.<\/p>\n \u201cI know you guys have been waiting for music for a long time and I\u2019ve just been kind of doing as much as I can raising the kids and I mean, you can see these gray hairs, man. They\u2019re coming in and it\u2019s just wild. It\u2019s just wild,\u201d he admitted. \u201cTime flies and it feels like I\u2019ve been doing this for and for six months at the same time, if that makes any sense. So sometimes I feel like, I don\u2019t know what it even takes to promote your songs anymore as far as this stuff goes. It can be so complicated at times, but I just want you guys to know that I do have some new songs out today. I\u2019m super, super excited about \u2019em.
