Every year, when Oct. 3 arrives, fans of the 2004 comedy movie, starring Lindsay Lohan as Cady Heron, are sure to mention what’s widely celebrated and recognized as “Mean Girls” Day on social media.<\/p>\n

Comedian and actress Tina Fey wrote the screenplay.<\/p>\n The film has become a fixture in pop culture, offering a slew of memes from iconic scenes that continue to take over social media timelines decades later.<\/p>\n Other popular moments are “You Go Glen Coco!<\/a>,” “Stop trying to make fetch happen,”<\/a> and “I want my pink shirt back!”<\/a><\/p>\n In 2024, singer Rene\u00e9 Rapp<\/a> starred in an iteration of “Mean Girls,” inspired by the Broadway musical and 2004 movie. <\/a> The film presented a new twist on the modern classic, according to Paramount Pictures, the production house behind the film.<\/p>\n This year, “Mean Girls” Day just so happens to be on the same day as the release of Taylor Swift<\/a>‘s highly anticipated 12th album, “Life of a Showgirl”.
