Sherri Shepherd<\/a> still has some strong thoughts about her former Dancing With the Stars<\/a><\/em> competition.<\/p>\n While discussing Lauren Jauregui<\/a>\u2018s shocking DWTS<\/em> elimination<\/a> on the Friday, October 3, episode of Sherri<\/em><\/a>, Shepherd reflected on her own exit from the ABC competition series. \u201cI was voted out in the fourth week when I was on Dancing With the Stars<\/em>,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd those are tears. I was [pissed] off when I was voted [off], \u2019cause you put your heart and your soul into it.\u201d<\/p>\n Shepherd went on to state, \u201cI don\u2019t know how I went home before Melissa Gilbert<\/a> from Little House on the Prairie<\/em><\/a>. I\u2019m telling you, I still can\u2019t let this one go.\u201d<\/p>\n Both women competed on Season 14 of DWTS<\/em> in 2012. As Shepherd recalled on her show, Gilbert suffered an injury the night she and her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy<\/a>, were sent home. \u201cI don\u2019t know what dance she was doing. Her partner was Maksim Chmerkovskiy<\/a>. And Melissa fell and she hit her head against Maks\u2019 leg, allegedly,\u201d Shepherd stated. \u201cAnd so, she went to the doggone hospital, but I got voted off. And I kept going, \u2018How did she beat me from the ICU?!’\u201d<\/p>\n Shepherd revealed that she was so angry about the situation that she didn\u2019t vote for Gilbert when she ran for president of the Screen Actors Guild. \u201cShe even called me, she said, \u2018Sherri, can I count on your vote?\u2019 I said, \u2018Melissa, did you count on my vote on Dancing With the Stars<\/em>?’\u201d Shepherd shared.<\/p>\n More than a decade after their time on DWTS<\/em>, Shepherd said she and Gilbert are on good terms. \u201cMelissa, I\u2019m good with you now,\u201d she said to the camera before adding, \u201cYou\u2019re lucky and really sweet, and if you run again for president, you\u2019ve got my vote, girl.\u201d<\/p>\n Shepherd and Val were the third couple of Season 14 to be sent home. Gilbert and Maksim ended the competition in fifth place, while Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd<\/a> took home that season\u2019s mirrorball trophy.<\/p>\n Earlier in the DWTS<\/em> discussion, Shepherd shared her reaction to Jauregui, stating she was \u201cpissed\u201d by her and Armstrong\u2019s early elimination. \u201cLosing any competition is devastating. But I can tell you firsthand, nobody gets more upset than the one who gets eliminated from Dancing With the Stars<\/em>,\u201d she told viewers.<\/p>\n The former The View<\/a><\/em> cohost continued, \u201cIt\u2019s so funny, these young ones, they don\u2019t know how to pretend to be gracious. Because when you lose something, whether it be Dancing With the Stars<\/em>, an award show, or a man, you\u2019re supposed to pretend like you\u2019re cool with it. But then, you know what? Lauren said that she said. She meant what she said. It\u2019s really hard getting booted, especially when you know you shouldn\u2019t have been voted off yet.\u201d<\/p>\n Jauregui exclusively spoke to TV Insider<\/a> about her elimination after the Tuesday, September 30, episode<\/a>. \u201cI mean, they asked me how I was feeling in the moment, and that\u2019s how I was feeling in the moment,\u201d she said of her one-word exit reaction. \u201cI\u2019m feeling just emotional about the whole thing. I feel like I had a lot left to give the show, and I just wish that I would have had the opportunity to do that especially because I was working with Brandon. We were going to keep progressing. That was our strategy.
