I love it. It\u2019s not really a film so much as a bunch of loosely connected skits at a 1980s summer camp that all smash together at the end.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">It also features way too many comedians to name, each getting their fair share of screen time while tossing out joke after raunchy joke with reckless abandon. Young love feels like forever, but it isn\u2019t. Sometimes enemies become friends.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Christopher Meloni, straight out of <em>Law &amp; Order: Special Victims Unit<\/em>, talks to a can of sentient vegetables about his kinks in between Vietnam flashbacks. Janeane Garofalo\u2019s Beth buys astrophysics books to impress David Hyde Pierce\u2019s Professor Henry Newman. He buys camp counselor books in his attempts to impress her. Paul Rudd\u2019s Andy is a peak specimen, so effortlessly cool with his insults and abusive behavior that you almost want him to be mean to you. At least it means he\u2019s paying attention.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">He knows where the babes are, and he will lead you to them. The truth is, I can\u2019t really describe this movie in a way that will make sense or convince you to watch it. You\u2019ll either appreciate the oddball energy each character brings to the table or you won\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The whole thing is about counselors and campers living out their last day of summer with a slice-of-life delivery. There\u2019s no real story, or even any common goal outside of hooking up. There\u2019s no nudity, but there are kids doing hard drugs on a field trip to the library. It\u2019s a string of events pretending to be one.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Some gags land, others don\u2019t, but there are so many that it becomes a numbers game. You\u2019ll either be the right audience for it or you\u2019ll wish you\u2019d just watched <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/movies\/articles\/wild-sci-fi-blockbuster-worst-190402727.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Bradley Cooper;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">Bradley Cooper<\/a> in <em>Silver Linings Playbook<\/em> instead.
