Mariah Carey<\/a> and Eminem<\/a>\u2019s beef is really standing the test of time.<\/p>\n During a recent conversation on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen<\/em>, Carey played the game, “Plead the Fifth,” where the host asked her about her feud with Em. She Earlier this summer, music producer Damion \u201cDamizza\u201d Young alleged<\/a> on the TFU podcast<\/em> that the two artists began beefing when Em asked Carey to portray his mother in the 2002 film, 8 Mile<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cFrom what I heard, there is truth to that,\u201d Carey told Cohen. \u201cBut I don\u2019t think that he actually\u2026 well, who knows who approached who.\u201d<\/p>\n When Cohen asked, \u201cBut did that ignite the beef?\u201d Carey was vague. \u201cUm, no. The iconic singer rejected the offer, and the role ultimately went to Kim Basinger.<\/p>\n \u201cHer insecurities kicked in big time,\u201d Young said, suggesting that Eminem and Mariah later became romantically involved.<\/p>\n Eminem has made the same claim about a romance<\/a>, especially on The Eminem Show <\/em>album cuts, \u201cWhen the Music Stops\u201d and \u201cSuperman\u201d from 2002.<\/p>\n Carey has regularly dismissed the rumors, telling Larry King that same year that they \u201cprobably\u201d hung out a \u201ctotal of four times.
