LAKE CITY, Fla. (WCJB) – A new entertainment venue made from shipping containers is ready to open in Lake City.<\/p>\n

The Woods<\/a> will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday with live music, a football watch party, a Florida vintage market pop-up, and games. The event will also feature performances from Fifth Harmony\u2019s Dinah Jane and Laugh Factory comedian Lawrence Johnson.<\/p>\n

During the first week, The Woods will host themed roller skating nights and pickleball tournaments. <\/p>\n

Owners Mike Woods and Chantelle Lee say they were inspired to give back to Lake City to use this space as a cultural playground.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Woods is an experience venue at its core,\u201d said Lee. \u201cIt encompasses everything from music to pickleball, to skating, to entertainment of all kinds of art.\u201d <\/p>\n

The grand opening event<\/a> will start at noon, and entry is free with an RSVP<\/a>. The facility is located at 149 SW Woolsey Gln, Lake City, FL 32024.<\/p>\n
