Online<\/a><\/p>\n Kate Gosselin<\/strong><\/a> is taking her recovery one step at a time.<\/span><\/p>\n Three days after undergoing <\/span>a three-hour surgery<\/span><\/a> on her leg for what she described as a \u201clife-alterting\u201d injury that resulted from her dog running into her leg, the <\/span>Jon & Kate Plus 8<\/span><\/em><\/a> star is now home nursing her injury and managing her recovery process.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWish me luck, it\u2019s the beginning of the next stage,\u201d Kate said in an Oct. 2 <\/span>TikTok<\/span><\/a> video, where she announced she was being discharged from the hospital. \u201cIt\u2019s all hitting me now getting discharge instructions, hearing all my meds and all the appointments I have to make and what\u2019s going to happen at my next appointment and all that. It\u2019s a lot.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The 50-year-old added, \u201cIt\u2019s a little overwhelming.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n After her first night back at home, the TLC alum shared she is excited to be \u201cat home in my bed,\u201d but noted her recovery is reminiscent of when she was pregnant with her now 21-year-old sextuplets <\/span>Alexis<\/strong>, <\/span>Hannah<\/strong>, <\/span>Leah<\/strong>, <\/span>Aaden<\/strong>, <\/span>Collin<\/strong> and <\/span>Joel<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n More from E! Online<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI just wanted to give you a quick update that my first night at home was amazing, and it’s all sinking in how helpless I am,\u201d she said in a separate <\/span>TikTok<\/span><\/a>. \u201cIt’s making me think back to over what 21 years ago, when I was on bed rest.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n Kate\u2014who is also mom to twins <\/span>Mady<\/strong> and <\/span>Cara<\/strong>, 24, with ex-husband <\/span>Jon Gosselin<\/strong>\u2014added, \u201cI never thought I would see myself here again, but here we are.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>Kate Plus Date<\/span><\/em> star also gave more details on the moments that led up to her injury when she and her boyfriend <\/span>Steve <\/strong>were throwing a ball with her dog Meika. <\/span><\/p>\n
