Melissa Rycroft<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s mug shot has been released following her arrest for allegedly driving while intoxicated<\/a> last month.<\/p>\n

In the photo, which\u00a0Us Weekly<\/em>\u00a0obtained on Friday, October 3, the former\u00a0Bachelor<\/em><\/a>\u00a0star, 42, looked disheveled as she stood in front of a teal background.<\/p>\n

Rycroft\u2019s eyes are puffy in the mugshot<\/a>, and her brown hair is pulled over to one side. Her face is also red.<\/p>\n

The photo was made public after news broke that Rycroft was arrested on September 23 in Texas for a DWI. TMZ<\/em>\u00a0reported that Rycroft was released on bond eight hours after she posted a $1,000 bail and promised to appear in court.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tMelissa Rycroft was reportedly arrested recently for driving while intoxicated. Rycroft, 42, was arrested for a DWI on September 23, according to TMZ. The outlet reported that the former Bachelor winner was released on bond eight hours later after posting a $1,000 bail with a promise to appear in court. Rycroft\u2019s attorney, Bret Martin, has [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Rycroft allegedly told officers at the time that a driver hit her car and fled the scene, but an eyewitness allegedly contradicted her report, according to a search\u00a0warrant obtained by the outlet. The eyewitness alleged that Rycroft\u2019s car was the only one involved in the incident.<\/p>\n

Tarrant County police, meanwhile, claimed that Rycroft had \u201cbloodshot eyes\u201d<\/a> and \u201cslurred speech\u201d while she stood next to an off-duty firefighter on the scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to remind the public of the fundamental principle of our justice system<\/a> \u2026 every individual is presumed innocent until proven guilty,\u201d Rycroft\u2019s attorney,\u00a0Bret Martin<\/strong>, told\u00a0TMZ<\/em>\u00a0in a statement on Friday. \u201cWe, as a society, have gotten completely away from this fundamental concept. My client was arrested on the allegation of Driving While Intoxicated. An arrest is no indication of guilt.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement continued, \u201cIt is imperative that we closely examine the circumstances of this case \u2014 including the conduct of law enforcement, the toxicology results, and the facts surrounding her arrest \u2014 before any conclusions are drawn. We respectfully request that the media and the public allow the legal process to unfold, and withhold any judgment whatsoever until all of the evidence<\/a> has been properly analyzed and presented in a court of law.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rycroft won the season, winning\u00a0Jason Mesnick<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s final rose, but he later dumped her for runner-up\u00a0Molly Mesnick<\/strong><\/a>. (Jason, 49, and Molly, 41, have been married since 2010.)<\/p>\n

Following her split from Jason, Rycroft found love with former boyfriend\u00a0Tye Strickland<\/strong><\/a>, whom she wed in December 2009<\/a>. The pair went on to welcome three children, daughter Ava, 14, and sons Beckett, 11, and Cayson, 9.<\/p>\n

Rycroft, who is a former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader<\/a>, exclusively told\u00a0Us Weekly<\/em><\/a>\u00a0in November 2020, that she and Strickland are happy with their family of five.<\/p>\n
