Blake Lively<\/strong><\/a> showed some love to Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s new album, The Life of a Showgirl<\/em>, amid her ongoing legal drama with Justin Baldoni.<\/p>\n

Lively took to Instagram<\/a> and \u201cliked\u201d Swift\u2019s post honoring the release<\/a> of the pop star\u2019s 12th record, which dropped on Friday, October 3.<\/p>\n

\u201cTonight all these lives converge here \/ The mosaics of laughter and cocktails of tears,\u201d Swift wrote in a poem to caption photos from the album. \u201cWhere fraternal souls sing identical things \/ And it\u2019s beautiful \/ It\u2019s rapturous \/ It is frightening.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift also shared how happy she was with the final result and expressed her gratitude for her collaborators Max Martin<\/strong> and Shellback<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t tell you how proud I am to share this with you, an album that just feels so right. A forever thank you goes out to my mentors and friends Max and Shellback for helping me paint this self portrait,\u201d she continued. \u201cIf you thought the big show was wild, perhaps you should come and take a look behind the curtain \u2026 The Life of a Showgirl<\/em> is out now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift and Lively have been close friends for years. However, their relationship has had its ups and downs due to Lively\u2019s ongoing lawsuit against Baldoni.<\/p>\n

Lively and Baldoni\u2019s drama began in December 2024 when the actress accused her It Ends With Us<\/em> costar and director of sexual harassment and orchestrating an alleged smear campaign against her. Baldoni vehemently denied the allegations and countersued Lively.<\/p>\n

While a judge dismissed Baldoni\u2019s lawsuit back in June, Lively\u2019s case is proceeding and is scheduled for March 2026.<\/p>\n

Swift \u2014 whose song \u201cMy Tears Ricochet\u201d plays in the film \u2014 got pulled into the legal drama<\/a> after Baldoni subpoenaed her. Swift denied having any involvement in the project.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBlake Lively showed she has Taylor Swift\u2019s back after the subpoena against her friend was dropped. \u201cWe are pleased that Justin Baldoni and the Wayfarer Parties have withdrawn their harassing subpoenas to Taylor Swift and her law firm,\u201d a spokesperson for Lively, 37, said in a statement to Us Weekly on Tuesday, May 22. \u201cWe [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cTaylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film,\u201d Swift\u2019s rep said in a May statement to Us Weekly<\/em>. \u201cShe did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later that month, Baldoni\u2019s lawyers withdrew their subpoenas for Swift and Lively celebrated the legal win.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are pleased that Justin Baldoni and the Wayfarer Parties have withdrawn their harassing subpoenas to Taylor Swift and her law firm,\u201d the statement from Lively\u2019s team read. \u201cWe supported the efforts of Taylor\u2019s team to quash these inappropriate subpoenas directed to her counsel and we will continue to stand up for any third party who is unjustly harassed or threatened in the process.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Lively\u2019s legal win, a source told Us<\/em> exclusively that Swift and the Gossip Girl<\/em> alum\u2019s friendship remained fractured<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlthough it was great news for Blake, she hasn\u2019t rekindled her friendship with Taylor yet,\u201d the insider explained. \u201cTaylor has not been in touch with Blake and still does not want to discuss anything to do with the lawsuit.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBlake Lively is requesting a \u201cprotective order\u201d against Justin Baldoni\u2019s legal team over their \u201ccontinuing demands\u201d for her communications with Taylor Swift, Us Weekly can confirm. Lively, 37, submitted a letter to judge Lewis J. Liman on Friday, June 13, and viewed by Us, claiming that Baldoni\u2019s Wayfarer Parties has \u201cpursued\u201d her communications with Swift, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Nearly four months later, Swift was brought back into the legal battle for a deposition with Baldoni\u2019s team. In a September letter to the judge, Baldoni\u2019s lawyers claimed that Swift agreed to be deposed in October. However, Swift\u2019s attorney slammed the response and denied she \u201cagreed to\u201d but rather was \u201cforced to.\u201d Baldoni\u2019s request for an extension to depose the pop star was later rejected by a judge.<\/p>\n
