Prince William<\/a> is finally speaking about his brother, Prince Harry<\/a>.<\/p>\n In a surprising moment during his appearance on Eugene Levy<\/a>\u2019s Apple TV+ series The Reluctant Traveler<\/em>, the Prince of Wales made a rare reference to Harry<\/a> while reflecting on his own childhood.<\/p>\n When asked about how he feels knowing that his eldest son, 12-year-old Prince George<\/a>, will one day become king, William admitted their childhood wasn\u2019t always easy.<\/p>\n \u201cObviously, I want to create a world in which my son is proud of what we do, a world and a job that actually does impact people\u2019s lives for the better,\u201d he said. \u201cThat is caveated with, I hope we don\u2019t go back to some of the practices in the past, that Harry and I had to grow up with \u2014 and I\u2019ll do everything I can to make sure we don\u2019t regress in that situation.\u201d<\/p>\n William went on to explain that he\u2019s determined to do things differently for his children.<\/p>\n \u201cChange for good,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd I embrace that and I enjoy that change \u2014 I don\u2019t fear it. That\u2019s the bit that excites me, is the idea of being able to bring some change.\u201d<\/p>\n He added that he isn\u2019t looking to shake things up entirely but wants to make sure progress continues, adding, \u201cNot overly radical change, but changes that I think that need to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n The comment comes as Harry and Meghan Markle<\/a> remain estranged from the royal family. The Duke of Sussex has been at odds with his relatives<\/a> since he and Meghan stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and moved to California.<\/p>\n Harry has spoken openly about the tension<\/a>, most notably in his memoir, Spare<\/em><\/a>, where he detailed the dynamic between him and William.<\/p>\n \u201cTwo years older than me, Willy was the Heir, whereas I was the Spare,\u201d Harry wrote. \u201cThis wasn\u2019t merely how the press referred to us \u2014 though it was definitely that. This was shorthand often used by Pa and Mummy and Grandpa. And even Granny.\u201d<\/p>\n The book also included explosive claims, including an alleged physical altercation where William \u201cgrabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace and he knocked me to the floor,\u201d Harry wrote, adding that the scuffle left him with \u201cscrapes and bruises.\u201d<\/p>\n Still, Harry insisted the book wasn\u2019t about causing drama.<\/p>\n “It was a series of corrections to stories already out there. One point of view had been put out and it needed to be corrected,\u201d he explained in an interview. \u201cIt was a difficult message, but I did it in the best way possible. My conscience is clear.\u201d<\/p>\n The 40-year-old added, \u201cIt is not about revenge, it is about accountability.\u201d<\/p>\n Harry has also credited Meghan, 44, for encouraging him to live authentically.<\/p>\n \u201cTelling the truth is the most efficient way to live,\u201d he recalled her saying. \u201cIt is the thing I always fall back on. Always. And if you think like that, who would be stupid enough to lie? It takes up too much time and effort.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite years of distance, Harry reunited with his father<\/a>, King Charles<\/a>, on September 10. He was spotted arriving at Clarence House in London before leaving less than an hour later.<\/p>\n That same evening, Harry appeared at The Gherkin for an event promoting the Invictus Games. When asked about his father, he kept it short, stating: \u201cYes, he\u2019s great. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n Sources said aides from both sides had been quietly working on a reunion since July.
