The 2025 Venice Film Festival<\/a> has barely kicked off and, already, it\u2019s star-studded affair: the likes of Julia Roberts, Emma Stone, George Clooney, Cate Blanchett, and Colman Domingo are all set to grace the Lido over the next couple of weeks, and we\u2019ve got our first reports on the fashions from the red carpets.<\/p>\n

While focus will, of course, be on this season\u2019s buzziest premieres<\/a>\u2014including Luca Guadagnino\u2019s After the Hunt and Guillermo del Toro\u2019s Frankenstein\u2014all eyes will no doubt be on the show-stopping red-carpet style, too. After all, this is the festival that brought us Lady Gaga\u2019s white feathered Valentino couture gown<\/a> back in 2018, and Zendaya\u2019s wet-look Balmain dress in 2021.<\/p>\n

Before the festival had even kicked off, we spotted George and Amal Clooney, and Emma Stone arriving in the Italian city, as well as Greta Gerwig and Laura Dern in the most euro summery fits for the daytime press calls. Following the first set of premieres\u2014including Clooney\u2019s Jay Kelly and Stone\u2019s Bugonia\u2014the style bar was set high. In tandem, the DVF Awards also took place in Venice, with Kim Kardashian in a clingy, sweeping gray Margiela look and a rare appearance for Christy Turlington with her daughter Grace Burns. Other star-studded events have included the amfAR Gala, and Miu Miu\u2019s Women\u2019s Tales.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve also seen more archival and vintage looks via Frankenstein\u2019s Mia Goth, custom chanel via After the Hunt\u2019s Ayo Edebiri<\/a>, and Jonathan Anderson\u2019s first Dior Couture look on Alba Rohrwacher. Julia Roberts gave us a sneak peek at Dario Vitale\u2019s new vision for Versace (think timeless glamour, rather than Donatella\u2019s brazen, bold oeuvre), which Amanda Seyfriend later borrowing the custom look for her own photocall.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s been some serious couples moments too, including Monica Barbaro and Andrew Garfield in Dior, and Givenchy campaign star Kaia Gerber in a sheer black gown there to support actor boyfriend Lewis Pullman in an equally sharp suit.<\/p>\n
