Now, it\u2019s dropping July 30, 2027. That\u2019s a delay of three weeks, and fans think they know why.<\/p>\n In a word: Superman<\/em>. Director James Gunn\u2019s sequel, Superman: Man of Tomorrow<\/em>, is scheduled for July 9, 2027\u2014the same day A Quiet Place Part III<\/em> was originally set to debut. That renders Earth\u2019s survivors effectively mute as they try and avoid a swift death by making as little noise as possible.<\/p>\n The original film released in 2018 and stars Krasinski alongside Emily Blunt as the married couple trying to protect their family from the alien threat. It earned 96% on Rotten Tomatoes<\/em><\/a>, and grossed over $340 million worldwide on a $17 million budget (per Variety<\/em><\/a>), virtually guaranteeing sequels.<\/p>\n 2021\u2019s A Quiet Place Part 2<\/em> made $297 million on a budget of $61 million, while 2024\u2019s A Quiet Place: Day One <\/em>made $261 million against a budget of $67 million. While the lowest box office in the series, it\u2019s still a significant profit.<\/p>\n A Quiet Place Part 4 <\/em>doesn\u2019t look likely to continue the story from A Quiet Place: Day One<\/em>. \u201cI very much approached this one as its own standalone thing that you can watch without needing to have seen the other ones.\u201d director Michael Sarnoski told Variety<\/em><\/a> last year.<\/p>\n That said, Sarnoski favors the odds of seeing Day One<\/em> revisited. \u201cAbsolutely.
