Duck Dynasty<\/em><\/a> stars Mary Kate<\/strong> and John Luke Robertson<\/strong> are expecting \u2014 and even they admit the news caught them by surprise.<\/p>\n

\u201cAbsolutely thrilled to tell y\u2019all we are welcoming TWINS to our family early next year!!! The most wonderful, crazy surprise blessing of our lives ha! Two new little Robertson girls!\ud83e\ude77\ud83e\ude77,\u201d Mary Kay wrote via Instagram<\/a> on Friday, October 3, announcing her pregnancy.<\/p>\n

The pair are already mom and dad to three children: John<\/strong>, 6, Ella<\/strong>, 4, and Wells<\/strong>, 2.<\/p>\n

In an interview with This Redeemed Life<\/a> <\/em>in February 2017, Mary Kate shared that she and John Luke, 29, met when they were both attending a Christian summer camp in Louisiana.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tIn 2012, Duck Dynasty premiered on A&E and introduced the world to the Louisiana-based Robertson family and their multi-million-dollar duck call business. The reality series, which ran for 11 seasons, quickly became a pop culture phenomenon with an average of 14 million viewers, spin-offs, best-selling books and even a Christmas album \u2014 Duck the Halls, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cMy girl\u2019s cabin and his guy\u2019s cabin got paired up for the week and one of our first conversations was when our team chose the two of us to represent them in the wall-sit competition,\u201d she explained to the outlet at the time. \u201cWe got to talk during that competition to get our minds off the pain. I specifically remember asking about his siblings, which I would never have imagined would be my future brothers and sister-in-laws!\u201d<\/p>\n

The duo met again after Mary Kate and her sister transferred to the same high school John Luke attended.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the time, he was traveling a lot because of their family\u2019s television show, but whenever he came back, he always had lots of fun stories to share with me,\u201d she said. \u201cFor the next year and a half, we remained really good friends, as our lives crossed a lot being in a small school, having mutual friends, and being on the same tennis team.\u201d<\/p>\n

They officially began dating in March 2014 and got engaged seven months later.<\/p>\n

Mary Kate and John Luke celebrated daughter Ella\u2019s birth<\/a> via Instagram in April 2021. \u201cWelcome to the world baby Ella!\u201d John Luke wrote via the platform. \u201cYou are sooo cute!! Good to have a child that looks like me.\u201d<\/p>\n

They previously announced Mary Kate\u2019s pregnancy in November 2020.<\/p>\n

The couple welcomed their oldest son, Shep, in October 2019. \u201cHi baby John Shepherd!!\u201d Mary Kate captioned a photo shared via Instagram of their son. \u201cHe decided to surprise us 10 days early on October 14, 2019, and we are in loveeeee.\u201d<\/p>\n

John Luke announced<\/a> news of Shep\u2019s impending arrival in May 2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cYep, that\u2019s a baby,\u201d the former reality star captioned a photo shared via Instagram that showed him holding out a sonogram picture while Mary Kate cradled her baby bump.<\/p>\n
