Legendary country vocal group Old Dominion and award-winning rock group OneRepublic will be the musical performers at The American Express PGA Tour event in January, tournament officials have announced.<\/p>\n Winners of three Country Music Association and three Academy of Country Music awards for vocal group of the year, Old Dominion will perform Jan. 23 after the second round of the PGA Tour event at PGA West in La Quinta. OneRepublic, formed in 2002 and winners of five major awards through the years, will perform Jan. 24.<\/p>\n Old Dominion and OneRepublic are the latest musical act to be part of the American Express Concert Series for the PGA Tour event. Last year\u2019s acts were Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Journey and country act Little Big Town. Acts in recent years have included Darius Rucker, Gwen Stefani, Maroon 5, Train, Sammy Haggar, Bad Company and Brad Paisley.<\/p>\n Tickets for the two concert days are $135 each, which includes golf during the day and the concerts after play has concluded.<\/p>\n \u201cThe artists for this year\u2019s American Express Concert Series will once again get our fans excited for an incredible weekend, solidifying the tournament as one of the most entertaining events on the PGA Tour,\u201d said Pat McCabe, executive director of The American Express in announcing the bands. \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to welcome Old Dominion and OneRepublic to the desert. This is a great opportunity to introduce country music and alternative rock music fans to top-tier golf, while giving our golf fans the chance to experience these world-renowned artists.\u201d<\/p>\n The concerts for the tournament area held on a large stage built to the right side of the practice range of the Stadium Course at PGA West, the host course of the four-day, three-course event<\/p>\n Known for anthemic songs and electrifying live shows, Old Dominon was cited by Rolling Stone magazine as \u201cone of mainstream country music\u2019s most popular live groups.\u201d The Grammy-nominated band has notched nine No. 1 singles in country radio, including \u201cWritten In The Sand,\u201d \u201cOne Man Band,\u201d and \u201cBreak Up With Him.\u201d The group has surpassed six billion on-demand streams and earned a dozen RIAA Platinum and Gold single certifications. Old Dominion\u2019s most recent studio album Barbara \u2013 the group\u2019s sixth \u2013 was released on August 22.<\/p>\n OneRepublic has grown to become one of the most popular pop-rock bands the world, released their debut album, Dreaming Out Loud<\/em>, in 2007. That included the multiple platinum selling hit single \u201cApologize,\u201d which shattered digital sales and airplay records worldwide and earned them a Grammy nomination.<\/p>\n In 2013, the band released their third globally successful album, Native<\/em>, which included the No. 1 hit and recording breaking single \u201cCounting Stars.\u201d In 2022, OneRepublic released their smash hit \u201cI Ain\u2019t Worried,\u201d which was featured in the blockbuster hit, Top Gun: Maverick<\/em>\u00a0and boasts over 3 billion streams.
