More \u201cScrubs<\/a>\u201d originals are scrubbing in.<\/p>\n On the heels of news that stars Zach Braff<\/a>, Donald Faison<\/a>, Sarah Chalke<\/a>, Judy Reyes<\/a> and John C. McGinley<\/a> are currently filming the series revival<\/a> comes another happy update for fans of the show.<\/p>\n Two familiar faces that viewers will recognize from the original show are joining the revival.<\/p>\n \u201cScrubs\u201d debuted on NBC in 2001. The show later moved to ABC, where it came to an end in 2010, and where the series revival will also air.<\/p>\n The show was greenlit<\/a> in July with a straight-to-series order.<\/p>\n New episodes are currently in production<\/a> \u2014 the cast recently posted for a photo at the read-through<\/a>.<\/p>\n South Orange<\/a>\u2019s own Zach Braff<\/a>, who has been sharing scenes from the set on social media, returns as John \u201cJ.D.\u201d Dorian<\/a>.<\/p>\n Braff\u2019s real-life friend Donald Faison<\/a> is back as J.D.\u2019s best friend and fellow doctor Christopher Turk<\/a>, while Sarah Chalke<\/a> reprises the role of Elliot Reid<\/a>, a friend and colleague to both characters and life partner to J.D.<\/p>\n READ MORE: <\/b>See \u2018Scrubs\u2019 cast reunite for revival series<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n The three actors are also producers of the \u201cScrubs\u201d revival, with original series creator Bill Lawrence<\/a> returning as executive producer.<\/p>\n Aseem Batra<\/a> and Tim Hobert<\/a>, writers from the original show, are the showrunners on the revival, which also sees Judy Reyes<\/a> returning as head nurse Carla Espinosa<\/a> and Short Hills\u2019 John C. McGinley<\/a> back as J.D.\u2019s favorite workplace bully, Perry Cox<\/a>.<\/p>\n So who are the latest actors to return<\/a> from the original \u201cScrubs\u201d lineup?<\/p>\n Robert Maschio<\/a> is back as Todd \u201cThe Todd\u201d Quinlan<\/a>, per The Hollywood Reporter.<\/p>\n The Todd<\/a> is a doctor notorious for his fixation on sex, also known for sexually harassing his colleagues.<\/p>\n A look at clips of Todd from the show (watch below) raises the question of whether or not the show will tone down that part of the character or reform him in some way post-#MeToo.<\/p>\n Maschio appeared in 156 episodes of \u201cScrubs\u201d that aired from 2001 to 2010.<\/p>\n \u201cHammock Up<\/a>, let\u2019s roll,\u201d the actor, who is now also a real estate agent, said on Instagram, sharing the casting news. \u201cShow the Todd some love.\u201d<\/p>\n Another \u201cScrubs\u201d original returning for the revival joined the series in the middle of its run.<\/p>\n Phill Lewis<\/a> is back as \u201cCrazy\u201d Hooch<\/a>, the doctor who immediately appears when anyone says \u201cHooch\u201d (or \u201chooch\u201d).<\/p>\n The character is looped into endless \u201cTurner & Hooch\u201d gags and jokes (watch below).<\/p>\n J.D. and Turk are constantly pranking Hooch only to utter the refrain \u201cHooch is crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n Lewis and Maschio aren\u2019t the only recently reported additions to the \u201cScrubs\u201d revival.<\/p>\n There\u2019s a whole fleet of new characters<\/a> bringing fresh faces to the cast.<\/p>\n The Hollywood Reporter shared the names.<\/p>\n \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d alum Vanessa Bayer<\/a> will be playing a character named Sibby.<\/p>\n Joel Kim Booster<\/a> (\u201cFire Island\u201d) joins as Dr. Eric Park.<\/p>\n \u201cWell well well,\u201c he said on Instagram. \u201dThis cast? Immaculate.\u201d<\/p>\n The new interns at Sacred Heart Hospital include Amara, played by Layla Mohammadi<\/a>, who starred in the New Jersey-set and Jersey-filmed movie \u201cThe Persian Version<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m a doctor now<\/a>..kinda,\u201d she said on Instagram. \u201cSo honored to be apart of this.
