Taylor Swift’s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl<\/a>,<\/em> has only been live for a day, and it’s already smashing records. Not only did she already beat the record she set in 2024 for most vinyl copies sold in the first week (in just one day!) but she’s on track to take a sales record that Adele<\/a>‘s held since 2015!<\/p>\n On just its release day, Oct. 3, 2025, The Life of a Showgirl<\/em> sold a whopping 2.7 million copies of physical and digital versions of the album, according to initial reports from Luminate, as reported by Billboard<\/a><\/em>. Compare that to Adele’s long-held record for first-week album sales from her hit album 25<\/em>, which sold 3.378 million copies in 2015.
