Hollywood is mourning actor Kimberly H\u00e9bert Gregory<\/a>, known for the series \u201cVice Principals<\/a>.”<\/p>\n Actor and singer Chester Gregory<\/a>, H\u00e9bert Gregory\u2019s ex-husband, shared news of her death on Instagram.<\/p>\n \u201cYou were brilliance embodied, a Black woman whose mind lit every room, whose presence carried both fire and grace,\u201d he said. \u201cYou taught us lessons in courage, in artistry, in resilience, and in how to keep showing up, even when life demanded more than its share.\u201d<\/p>\n The actor was 52 when she died Friday.<\/p>\n In the HBO series \u201cVice Principals<\/a>,\u201d H\u00e9bert Gregory played Dr. Belinda Brown, the newly appointed principal at North Jackson High School. Her character stood in the way of a position coveted by two vice principals in a fierce rivalry.<\/p>\n KHG VP<\/p>\n Walton Goggins<\/a> and series co-creator Danny McBride<\/a> played the warring vice principals \u2014 Lee Russell and Neal Gamby \u2014 in the show, which debuted in 2016 and ran for two seasons. The series sees the sworn enemies join forces to try and oust Brown from her role.<\/p>\n \u201cWe lost one of the best yesterday\u2026 one of the best I\u2019ve ever worked with.
