Saturday Night Live\u2019s<\/em><\/a> \u201cWeekend Update\u201d lampooned President Donald Trump\u2019s<\/strong> recent rant on climbing stairs by dubbing it with an iconic Jennifer Coolidge<\/strong> voice.<\/p>\n This week\u2019s edition<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0Saturday Night Live<\/em><\/a> marked the first episode of the sketch comedy mainstay\u2019s 51st season. The host was Super Bowl splash-maker Bad Bunny<\/strong>, who became<\/a> the first star in the history of the show to host after being the musical guest in the previous episode. It\u2019s his second time hosting.<\/p>\n The musical guest was Doja Cat<\/strong> in her first SNL appearance.<\/p>\n The premiere marked the debut of new cast members Veronika Slowikowska<\/strong>, Jeremy Culhane<\/strong>, Tommy Brennan<\/strong>, Kam Patterson<\/strong>, and Please Don\u2019t Destroy\u2019s<\/em> Ben Marshall<\/strong>. They join returning players Mikey Day<\/strong>, Andrew Dismukes<\/strong>, Chloe Fineman<\/strong>, Marcello Hern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, James Austin Johnson<\/strong>, Sarah Sherman<\/strong>, Kenan Thompson<\/strong>, Bowen Yang<\/strong>, and \u201cWeekend Update\u201d anchors Colin Jost<\/strong> and Michael Che<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Departing cast members include Heidi Gardner<\/strong>, Ego Nwodim<\/strong>, Devon Walker<\/strong>, Michael Longfellow<\/strong>, and Emil Wakim<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Next week\u2019s host will be SNL<\/em> alum Amy Poehler<\/strong>, with Role Model<\/strong> as the musical guest. Sabrina Carpenter<\/strong> hosts and performs as musical guest on October 18.<\/p>\n Jost and Che returned to the anchor chairs with a set of gags that included a bit on Trump\u2019s comical riff<\/a> on avoiding stair tragedies during his speech to military brass:<\/p>\n COLIN JOST: Hey!
