Sean \u2018Diddy\u2019 Combs\u2019 former prot\u00e9g\u00e9 Aubrey O\u2019Day has issued a statement following his sentencing for transportation to engage in prostitution.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Friday (October 3), P. Diddy was handed 50 months behind bars<\/a> and ordered to pay a $500,000 fine by Judge Arun Subramanian inside the US District Courthouse in lower Manhattan.<\/p>\n

The hip-hop mogul, convicted of flying people across the US<\/a> for sexual encounters he called \u2018freak-offs’, apologized to two former girlfriends who accused him of physical and sexual abuse: singer Casandra \u2018Cassie\u2019 Ventura<\/a> and a woman identified in court under the pseudonym \u2018Jane.\u2019<\/p>\n

In July, a 12-person jury acquitted<\/a> the 55-year-old of sex trafficking<\/a> and racketeering charges.<\/p>\n

Aubrey O’Day, a musician<\/a> whom Combs mentored as part of Danity Kane until she was fired from the band by Combs in 2008, has spoken out following the conclusion of the court case.<\/p>\n

The 41-year-old met him during his MTV<\/a> show, Making the Band<\/em>, and was later signed to his label, Bad Boy Entertainment.<\/p>\n

Taking to X, O\u2019Day issued a warning to any young, aspiring musician, claiming their wellbeing is \u2018worth more than any opportunity\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe true warning is not that a jury may doubt your testimony, nor that a court\u2019s sentencing guidelines may fail to reflect the years of suffering you endured,\u201d she typed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe real warning is this: the moment someone in a position of power oversteps your boundaries or demands more than is legitimately required of you, walk away and do not look back.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo dream, however bright, can outweigh the pain and exploitation that may follow if you remain. Too often, those who misuse their power, even when exposed, face far fewer consequences than the harm inflicted upon their victims.<\/p>\n

\u201cProtect yourself at the first sign of coercion or impropriety. If something feels wrong, trust that instinct and remove yourself from the situation. Your well-being is worth more than any opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans have come out in droves to support the Broadway actress, with one writing: “I can’t imagine what you must be feeling right now, Aubrey. Sending you all the love and light in the world. God is good – keep that thought at the forefront of your mind and draw strength from it.\u201d<\/p>\n

What has Aubrey O’Day said about Diddy in the past?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In September 2024, the Celebrity Big Brother<\/em> star alleged Combs \u2018groomed\u2019 and controlled her image during Making the Band.<\/em><\/p>\n

During an appearance on the Crysis Queen<\/em> podcast<\/a>, O\u2019Day claimed the \u2018Last Night\u2019 singer once sent her out of the studio because her toes weren\u2019t properly polished.<\/p>\n

She also claimed that she was \u2018multiple sides\u2019 of the star and alleged he stopped her from forming a bond with a \u2018certain very big name person\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was the first time [Combs] had kinda said, \u2018You\u2019re not allowed to be around that person ever again,\u201d she recalled. \u201cAnd that was the first time I started to see the dynamics change with just how he approached me on camera.\u201d<\/p>\n

In August, O\u2019Day told<\/a> Decider that when she\u2019d publicly challenged Combs, \u2018physical danger\u2019 became a \u2018reality\u2019 for her.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, I’ve known about this behavior for a very long time,\u201d she alleged. \u201cI’ve been warning everyone for about 20 years now that this is not a safe person to work with.<\/p>\n

She added that while she did not know \u2018how much danger\u2019 she was ever in, she did notice \u2018suspicious\u2019 activity around her.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know how to look for certain things based off of certain things that I’ve had to learn in life, and there were unmarked cars around me for a bit that seemed suspicious,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Despite claiming to have been \u2018contacted\u2019 by Homeland Security, O\u2019Day did not take the stand against her former mentor when she was in New York City in May.<\/p>\n

In the first episode of iHeart Radio’s Amy Robach & T.J. Holmes Present: Aubrey O’Day, Covering the Diddy Trial<\/em>, she told the hosts: \u201cNo, I\u2019m not here to testify for the Diddy trial, that I know of.\u201d<\/p>\n

She went on to say she \u2018was contacted by Homeland Security\u2019 and \u2018did have a meeting with Homeland Security.\u2019<\/p>\n

If O\u2019Day had testified, she would\u2019ve been the second member of Danity Kane to do so after 41-year-old Dawn Richard<\/a>.<\/p>\n
