Bad Bunny\u2019s iconic response to critics who slammed him for booking the next Super Bowl halftime show is going viral.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The remarks come after Homeland Security warned United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers would be \u2018all over\u2019 the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

This month, the 31-year-old, whose real name is Benito Antonio Mart\u00ednez Ocasio, was unveiled as the deserved successor to Kendrick Lamar\u2019s jaw-dropping Super Bowl LIX show.<\/a><\/p>\n

Set to take over Levi\u2019s Stadium in Santa Clara, California<\/a>, on February 8, 2026, Bad Bunny has hinted that the whole halftime performance could be in Spanish, his native language.<\/p>\n

The move comes after Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem<\/a> confirmed that ICE agents<\/a> would be present at the Puerto Rican\u2019s show.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have the responsibility for making sure everybody who goes to the Super Bowl<\/a> has the opportunity to enjoy it and to leave, and that\u2019s what America<\/a> is about,\u201d she said on The Benny Show<\/em> podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“So yeah, we\u2019ll be all over that place. We\u2019re going to enforce the law.”<\/p>\n

When asked to comment on the NFL choosing Bad Bunny for the halftime show, Noem said: “Well, they suck.”<\/p>\n

Noem\u2019s statement came after the \u2018un x100to\u2019 singer<\/a> announced he wouldn\u2019t be taking his Deb\u00ed Tirar M\u00e1s Fotos World Tour to the US<\/a> due to the Trump administration\u2019s use of ICE for immigration crackdown.<\/p>\n

On Saturday (October 4), Bad Bunny used his hosting slot on the 51st season of Saturday Night Live<\/em><\/a> to shut down further criticism.<\/p>\n

He said to cheers: “I’m doing the Super Bowl halftime show and I’m very happy,” adding sarcastically: “And I think everyone is very happy about it. Even Fox News.”<\/p>\n

The monologue then cut to clips of Fox News hosts edited together to say: “Bad Bunny is my favourite musician and he should be the next president.”<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s more than a win for myself; it\u2019s a win for all of us. Our footprints and our contribution in this country, no one will ever be able to take that away or erase it.\u201d<\/p>\n

In English, the three-time Grammy<\/a> winner added: \u201cIf you didn\u2019t understand what I just said. You have four months to learn.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before being named as the next Super Bowl headliner, Bad Bunny revealed to i-D magazine why he\u2019d decided he didn\u2019t want to \u2018show up\u2019 in the United States.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere were many reasons why I didn\u2019t show up in the U.S., and none of them were out of hate \u2014 I\u2019ve performed there many times. All of [the shows] have been successful,\u201d he claimed.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut there was the issue of \u2014 like, f**king ICE could be outside [my concert]. And it\u2019s something that we were talking about and very concerned about.\u201d<\/p>\n

The NFL<\/a> has been called out for its decision to book Bad Bunny by Corey Lewandowski.<\/p>\n

The 52-year-old serves as a key adviser at the Department of Homeland Security and called the American Football bosses’ decision \u2018shameful\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201c[It\u2019s] so shameful that they\u2019ve decided to pick somebody who just seems to hate America so much to represent them at the halftime game,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

In response, Imani Cheers, an associate professor of digital storytelling at George Washington University, told<\/a> The Hill: \u201cThe Super Bowl has in recent years really become a real cultural moment for the country to come together, and [it] provokes a lot of conversation, whether you\u2019re a football fan or not.<\/p>\n
