Bad Bunny<\/a> revived El Chavo del Ocho<\/em> \u2014 one of the biggest shows in Latin American history \u2014 on the season premiere of Saturday Night Live<\/em> that he hosted on Saturday (Oct. 4).<\/p>\n As one of the many comedic acts he participated in, the Puerto Rican artist wrapped Saturday\u2019s episode portraying Quico, the spoiled and arrogant son of Do\u00f1a Florinda, but also one of the beloved characters of the timeless 1970s show created by the late Roberto G\u00f3mez Bola\u00f1os.<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n True to the sentiment of the original family-friendly, comedy show \u2014 based on an 8-year-old orphan boy who lives in a neighborhood courtyard in Mexico \u2014 the over-three-minute-long skit was more of a tribute than a mockery.<\/p>\n It featured the mischievous neighborhood kids El Chavo (Marcello Hernandez), La Chilindrina (Sarah Sherman), and Benito as Quico; the grumpy dad, Don Ramon (Andrew Dismuke); the overprotective mother, Do\u00f1a Florinda (Chloe Fineman); the pesky landlord, Sr. Barriga or in this case, Mr. Stomach (Kenan Thompson); and even a surprise appearance by Jon Hamm as Profesor Jirafales.<\/p>\n Bad Bunny hosting SNL<\/em> comes on the heels of the global artist being confirmed for the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show<\/a>, presented by Apple Music and executive produced by Roc Nation and Jesse Collins, set for Feb. 8 in Santa Clara, California.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m very excited to be doing the Super Bowl and I know that people around the world who love my music are also happy,\u201d he expressed first in English in his opening monologue, before speaking in Spanish. \u201cEspecially all Latinos around the world, and here in the United States, all the people who have worked to open doors.
