Online<\/a><\/p>\n Nicole Kidman<\/a><\/strong> is bringing awareness to an important cause.<\/p>\n The Big Little Lies<\/em> star stepped out Oct. 4 in her first public appearance since filing for divorce from<\/a> husband Keith Urban<\/a><\/strong>, attending at an auction in Texas benefiting amfAR Dallas.<\/p>\n During the event, which raised money for HIV\/AIDS research, the actress wore a black off-the-shoulder dress as she gave remarks before presenting Yellowstone<\/em> creator Taylor Sheridan<\/strong> with the nonprofit\u2019s Award of Inspiration.<\/p>\n \u201cI think what Taylor recognizes, as we all do, is that we are all more alike than we are different, and that we’re better when we look out for each other,\u201d she said in a video obtained by People<\/a><\/em>. \u201cThat, of course, is why we’re here tonight. What better way to support, to elevate our common humanity, than to help fund bold and innovative research.\u201d<\/p>\n Since filing for divorce from the \u201cLong Hot Summer\u201d singer Sept. 30, Nicole, 58, has kept a low profile.
