Bad Bunny<\/a> conjured the KPop Demon Hunters<\/em> trio HUNTR\/X<\/a> during the season 51 premiere of Saturday Night Live<\/em> on Oct. 4.<\/p>\n In the six-minute sketch, fittingly titled \u201cKPop Demon Hunters,\u201d the Puerto Rican superstar \u2014 who hosted the episode alongside musical guest Doja Cat<\/a> \u2014 plays Thomas, a brunch-goer passionately defending his love for the wildly popular animated Netflix movie.<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s actually not for kids. It\u2019s for smart adults,\u201d Bad Bunny\u2019s Thomas says to skeptical friends. \u201cIn KPop Demon Hunters, songs are not just songs. They are weapons,\u201d he continues. \u201cWhat else is gonna save you from demons, you idiot.\u201d<\/p>\n The sketch takes a chaotic turn when SNL<\/em> cast member Bowen Yang appears as one of the film\u2019s demons and possesses Sarah Sherman by belting out the hit song \u201cSoda Pop.\u201d Just in time, HUNTR\/X \u2014 voiced in the movie by EJAE, Rei Ami, and Audrey Nuna \u2014 arrive to save the day, performing their smash single \u201cGolden\u201d and vanquishing the demon.<\/p>\n The sketch marked the first-ever live televised performance of \u201cGolden,\u201d which topped the Billboard Hot 100<\/a> for seven weeks. HUNTR\/X is slated to deliver their first full-length live performance<\/a> of the song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/em> on Oct. 7, where they\u2019ll also sit down for an interview.<\/p>\n The news comes roughly three months after KPop Demon Hunters<\/em> premiered on Netflix, rapidly becoming a pop culture phenomenon. In addition to \u201cGolden,\u201d three other tracks from the film\u2019s soundtrack \u2014 \u201cHow It\u2019s Done,\u201d \u201cWhat It Sounds Like,\u201d and \u201cTakedown\u201d \u2014 have landed in the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100.
