Three-time Mirrorball champion Val Chmerkovskiy<\/strong> has spent two decades dazzling audiences on Dancing With the Stars, but the professional dancer says he\u2019s beginning to consider life beyond the ballroom.<\/p>\n “This is my 20th season,” Chmerkovskiy, 39, reflected in a conversation with Danielle Fishel<\/strong> on her Dancing With Danielle<\/a> podcast.<\/p>\n Despite\u00a0his tenure on the\u00a0show, Chmerkovskiy\u00a0admitted his\u00a0future is unclear. Between his personal goals and the realities of the television industry, Chmerkovskiy\u00a0remains\u00a0realistic about the natural arc of his career. He knows producers\u00a0could\u00a0be eyeing younger\u00a0talent to keep the show fresh and replace him at any time.<\/p>\n “I\u2019m not delusional about the fact that my tenure on the show will eventually come to an end before the show comes to an end. And I want it that way,” he said.<\/p>\n “I think my life is better with the show around whether I\u2019m on it or not. I\u2019m a huge champion of this project.”<\/p>\n Regardless, Chmerkovskiy remains confident in his capabilities. Last week alone, he and his season 34 partner Alix Earle<\/strong><\/a> scored a 23 out of 30 on “TikTok Night.”<\/p>\n “I’m still killing it” he quipped.<\/p>\n Over the last 20 seasons, Chmerkovskiy has become one of the most\u00a0recognizable and successful dancers associated with\u00a0DWTS.
